A little bit about myself...
I’m Tanya Meilleur, a trauma-informed healer, guide, and space-holder — but I didn’t step into this work through textbooks or titles. My path began in the most devastating way a mother can imagine: with the loss of my 13 year old daughter, to suicide. Grief broke my life open. It stripped me bare. It brought me to my knees.

In the months that followed, I wasn’t searching for spirituality or purpose. I was searching for air — for anything that could help me survive the weight of what I was carrying. Slowly, through breath, presence, nature, and energy work, I began to find my way back to myself. What started as a lifeline became a calling.
Healing wasn’t a moment of awakening. It was a rebuilding — piece by piece, breath by breath. As I studied Reiki, somatic practices, meditation, forest therapy, and nervous-system-based healing, I began to understand that I wasn’t learning these modalities for myself alone. I was being shaped into someone who could hold others through their own heaviness, grief, and transformation.

Today, I bring that lived understanding into everything I do — whether I’m supporting humans on their healing journeys or helping dogs regulate, decompress, and feel safe in their bodies again. My work is rooted in compassion, grounded presence, and the belief that we don’t rise by bypassing our pain; we rise by moving through it with honesty and support.
What I offer is a deeply human approach to healing: one built on experience, integrity, curiosity, and the unwavering knowing that even in our darkest chapters, there is a way forward.
