Holding The Unthinkable: Grief Group
First Wednesday of Each Month
Service Description
There are losses in life that change us forever. The kind of loss that divides time into before and after. The kind that quietly reshapes the landscape of a life. Some grief is so profound it can feel impossible to comprehend — the kind of loss that once felt unthinkable, and yet somehow becomes the reality we must learn to carry. Grief like this is often held in silence. The world moves forward. Conversations return to normal. Life continues around us. But for those living with deep loss, something inside the heart remains forever altered — holding memories, love, longing, and questions that may never have answers. Many people find themselves moving through their days carrying this weight quietly. Holding the Unthinkable was created as a space where that weight does not have to be carried alone. Once a month we gather in a gentle, compassionate environment where grief is welcome exactly as it is. There is no expectation to be “better,” no pressure to explain your experience, and nothing that needs to be fixed. Each gathering begins with a soft grounding practice designed to help the nervous system settle and the body soften. Grief lives deeply within the body, and these moments of gentle regulation help create the safety needed to simply arrive as we are. From there, the circle opens for sharing. Participants are welcome to speak about their loss, their memories, the realities of living with grief, or whatever feels present in the moment. Sharing is always voluntary. Some may choose to speak, while others may simply sit and listen. Both are equally welcome. This gathering is not therapy or clinical counseling. It is a facilitated community space where those carrying grief can come together in honesty, presence, and shared humanity. Because grief changes us. And while the loss itself may never disappear, it becomes a little more bearable when it is held in community. You do not have to carry grief alone. Pre-booking required, spaces limited. All bookings are final, non-refundable.
